Medéleon Receives Silver Recognition at Olympia Awards 2026

Blog

Medéleon is honored to have received a Silver Award at Olympia Awards 2026, one of Greece’s respected olive oil competitions celebrating excellence in extra virgin olive oil production.

The award acknowledges the quality, craftsmanship, and dedication invested in producing our early-harvest Koroneiki olive oil in Katouna, Aetolia-Acarnania.

From regenerative farming practices and careful grove management to rapid cold extraction and small-batch bottling, every step of the Medéleon process is designed to protect quality from tree to bottle.

Receiving recognition from both international and Greek competitions in our first production year reinforces our commitment to producing olive oil that reflects the character of our land and the values behind our brand.

Reflecting on the award, founder and agronomist Apostolos Maltezos shared:

“This recognition belongs to the land, the trees, and everyone who believed in this vision from the beginning. We planted every tree with patience and purpose 10 years ago, knowing that truly exceptional olive oil is the result of thousands of small decisions made over many years. This award encourages us to continue pursuing excellence while remaining faithful to our values.”

Looking Ahead

While we are honored to receive this distinction, we see it as the beginning rather than the destination.

Our mission remains unchanged: to produce authentic Greek extra virgin olive oil of exceptional quality while demonstrating how regenerative agriculture can create healthier ecosystems and better food.

As Medéleon continues to grow, we remain committed to transparency, traceability, scientific rigor, and respect for the land that makes everything possible.

We would like to thank the organizers of Olympia Awards, the judges, our supporters, and everyone who has followed our journey from grove to bottle.

This recognition inspires us to keep raising the standard for what Greek olive oil can be.
